The varsity coaching staff of Smithtown West and East High School would like to invite you to the Booster Club and Smithtown Youth Football Camp. The camp will take place from July 9
th -13
th from 4:30 to 8:00 pm at Smithtown West High School. The Head coaches from West and East will not only be directing the camp but giving hands on individual instruction to your son. Many of the varsity assistant coaches will be on hand and some Varsity players will aid the coaches.
We have received tremendous positive feedback from the parents and players at last year’s camp and will use the same format this year.
It is a full contact camp yet the emphasis is put on fundamentals, learning individual positions, principles of Football, sportsmanship and fun ( each night ends with a flag football tournament ).We believe it is a great opportunity for your son to get real Football instruction by coaches with over 20 years of experience coaching at all levels (including youth).
The cost of the camp is $160, which as you know is a very fair price in this day and age of numerous private camps. The money ultimately goes back to the athletes in Smithtown as opposed to a private group for profit. We understand the summer is very busy, but the Youth Football season will begin the week after the camp thus providing your son with a “lead up “experience. Smithtown Youth Football is the key to building an outstanding Football program in our public schools and we look forward to working with our young players in Smithtown Youth Football.
